In light of recent events with the COVID-19 virus, the leadership of Wilderness Trek thought it best to let you know the steps and precautions we are taking to keep our staff, guests, and community safe.

Before we do that, I would like to take a minute to remind you of our commission as followers of Jesus and why our mission is now more important than ever. During this time of uncertainty, it is best to remember what our response as believers of Jesus Christ should be:

  1. Faith Not Fear- Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

The bible is filled with stories of how God used His people during a time of trial, uncertainty, and world chaos to continue his plan of redemption. As believers of Jesus Christ, we are members of a family of faith that have led the response to world events since the beginning of time. This response is what we are called to do,

John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”

  1. Disciple-making- Isaiah 43:1 “Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.”

We are called to be disciple-makers no matter what world events are going on around us. Our mission never changes.

Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt”

With these scriptures on our hearts, we ask you to join us in prayer. Ephesians 6:18 says,

“And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for the Lords people.

The uncertainty of the situation facing our ministry as well as countless others is great, but our father is bigger than any world events facing us right now. We ask you to join us in prayer for our country’s leaders, the local church and its response, our ministry at WTCC and for your family.
