About Scott

Scott Chapman grew up in Dallas, TX but required frequent trips to rocks, rivers, and mountains to make it work. He attended John Brown University in NW Arkansas to earn a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. As soon as Scott discovered adventure he set out, perpetually from one adventure to the next, be it climbing rocks, raising a family, or taking others into the wild.

Scott lives in Glorieta, NM with is wife Anne and two boys Boone and Benji. Since moving to New Mexico they have abandoned all other state affiliations and call themselves New Mexicans. Scott and his family pursue outdoor ministry because they first believe in the call to share the good news. Second, experiences in the outdoors continue to define Scott by shaping his understand of God, himself, and others, and he wants to share this gift through the Wilderness Trek Ministry. Aside from climbing rocks and mountains Scott loves to learn new skills, acquire new hobbies, he’s an idea person, and he has a hard time sitting still.
