“That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.” John 21:7
Today’s prayer is about “throwing yourself into the sea” May we have the same attitude of Peter that when we see the Lord we cast off with abandon and jump into the water to rush to meet him. Today’s prayer is about running toward Christ and developing the attitude that recognizes the crucified Christ and runs towards him so we may join his work. Please pray for us to be like John who recognizes Jesus and for us to be like Peter who jumps in the sea to swim towards him. Pray that everyone at Trek this summer, guides, staff, volunteers, group leaders and teens all run towards Christ as soon as they see him.
May we all cast off with the same passion and zeal as Peter this summer!
