Summer staff training is complete!

This year we had 8 summer staff from 4 states complete our 3-week adventure missionary and wilderness guide certification process. During this training, the staff gained the certifications needed to lead groups in the wilderness as well as discipleship, leadership, and small group leading training,

Wildfire Update

If you have been following the massive wildfire in New Mexico, you have probably wondered how it is affecting our summer. We are glad to report that while this has been a very disruptive fire we still have been able to continue to operate and offer life-changing trips.

Because we have relationships with both public lands and private landowners, we are blessed to be able to continue our discipleship and leadership training for teens during this disruption.

Big win at the London Mountain Film Festival!

Our film, Riding the Shadow won an award for “Best Living World” at the London Mountain Film Festival in London, England. This was one of 5 awards given in the field of 80 adventure films from around the world!

The film will be showing next at the Deep in the Heart film festival in Waco Texas July 21-24.

Executive Director Update

You may have heard our Executive Director Paul Talley was involved in a mountain biking accident that left him hospitalized for over a week. We are excited to report that he is now at base camp recovering. His recovery will take 6-8 weeks so if you would like to drop him a note his email is paul@wildernesstrek.org

We still have over 20 teens that need a scholarship in order to join us this summer. If you would like to give a teen an opportunity to experience one of our leadership and discipleship experiences please give today.
