Professional Wilderness Guide Course

About Hunter

Hunter is originally from Texas, having grown up in East Texas and near the Gulf Coast. After high school Hunter went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. It was after college, on a long distance backpacking trip through New England, that the Lord revealed to Hunter a deep passion for the outdoors.

The leading of the Lord combined with his desire to work in the outdoor industry took Hunter to an outdoor ministry in the hill country of Texas; this led to another outdoor ministry based in the mountains of northern New Mexico. A place that Hunter has called home for over four years now. Hunter is newly married to his lovely wife Sally and they live in the mountains of northern New Mexico with no plans to leave anytime soon. Hunter likes Wilderness ministry because it takes people to a place that is set apart, both physically and spiritually, where each experience has meaning. Wilderness trips are experiences where every step is a lesson and every new sight speaks volumes about a God who is calling people to Himself. It’s an amazing thing to be a part of and Hunter is excited to continue this journey with Wilderness Trek.
