Family Trek
Family 6-Day Trek
Family Treks are availabe for family groups of 12-20 participants (minimum of 12 participants required), ages 8 to adults. These custom-made week-long adventures are available in two basic itineraries (white water rafting or no rafting). Family groups can arrive on any Saturday or Sunday (2:00 PM) during the summer and return home on the following Friday or Saturday.
Typically, families (12-20 children, teens and adults) from the same church travel to the Wilderness Trek base camp and go on the trail together. If your group does not contain at least 12 individuals, please contact us about the possibility of combining your family group with another group coming at the same time.
The fees* for 6-Day Family Treks range from $ 310 - $ 430 per person, depending on the age of the participants and the itinerary selected. To download the reservation form for your 6-Day Family Trek click here.
After you have completed the appropriate form, mail the form and your $ 100 individual deposits to: Wilderness Trek, PO Box 831040, Richardson, TX 75083-1040. Once your reservation has been received you will receive written confirmation and all the materials you need to prepare your family and others in your group for their trip to Colorado will be sent to you. Family 5-Day Trek
Five-day intineraries are available to family groups, however white water rafting is not available with the 5-day intinerary. Groups may arrive on Saturday or Sunday and depart on the following Wednesday or Thursday evening. Similar to 6-Day Treks, groups participate in rappelling, backpacking, a summit attempt and solo time, but spend one less day in the wilderness.
