Trek appoints new Trustee

In continuing the reNewing of Wilderness Trek, we are excited to announce the appointment of a new Board Trustee.

Mr. Paul Talley is a long time supporter of Wilderness Trek. Paul describes his dreams for Trek; “Wilderness Trek is important to me because I believe that wilderness experiences can be a life-changing event for many people. Throughout scripture and Christian history, God has used wilderness experiences to deeply move his people. I believe leadership and community can best be experienced in the wilderness, away from distractions, with communities of believers.” “My dream for Wilderness Trek is that it can continue its great legacy of using wilderness experience and leadership development to change generations of Christians during a pivotal time in their lives. I would like to see WTCC continue making a KINGDOM impact for generations to come.”

We believe that Paul’s personal philosophy and dreams align perfectly with the reNewing of the Trek ministry.

In addition to supporting Wilderness Trek, Paul served as a Staff Guide for 2 summers. He has also served as a Youth Minister, Camp Director and has been involved in leadership in several youth organizations. Paul holds a B.S. degree in Bible, with emphasis in Youth and Family ministry from Abilene Christian University.

Paul and his wife, Jane, have two great kids, Jackson 10 and Luke 8. Paul serves as the Business Manager for Big Bear AggieTech Energy Services, LLC in Midland, Texas. In addition to hiking, Paul enjoys mountain biking and is a member of several mountain biking clubs.

The Wilderness Trek Board of Trustees believes it is critical to have strong, faithful Christian leaders on the Board. We believe Paul is such a person and we look forward to his leadership. When asked what areas of scripture Paul is currently studying, he noted Daniel, Nehemiah and the Pastoral Letters (Timothy, Titus etc).

Wilderness Trek Christian Camp is excited and honored to have Paul Talley serving on our Board of Trustees. We believe Paul will be a great blessing in his leadership as we continue to reNew our ministry taking kids on spiritual mountaintop experiences.
